Results of concealed incision combined with endoscopic resection of benign tumors of the cheek
Among cheek tumors, benign tumors account for a large proportion, and the main means of their treatment is surgical resection, but the complications of postoperative scarring can hardly satisfy patients with high requirements for appearance, especially it will bring psychological burden to some patients with scarring body, young women and special occupations. With the development of endoscopic surgical technology and imaging system, it has been widely used in laparoscopic surgery, transnasal minimally invasive skull base tumor surgery, pharyngeal surgery and other "natural cavity" areas with its features of minimally invasive, aesthetic, magnification, focusing and wide angle. In addition to the above "natural cavity" surgery, the use of endoscopic technology in other fields of treatment has also been developed, such as endoscopic-assisted thyroid, parotid tumor and submandibular gland tumor resection. Due to the rich vascular and nerve, relatively dense and complex anatomical structure, small space and no "natural cavity" in the cheek, there are few reports on the application of endoscopic techniques in cheek surgery. In this study, patients with benign tumors of the cheek were treated with different concealed incisions in different areas of the cheek, and satisfactory results were achieved.
