Purpose to compare (single - incisiontotallyextraperitonealprosthes, SIL - teb), and (single - incisiontransabdominalpreperitonealherniorrhaphy, SIL - TAPP) with traditional three hole method the clinical curative effect of laparoscopic hernia repair. Methods ninety adult male patients who underwent unilateral laparoscopic hernia repair from September 2017 to September 2019 were enrolled in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. According to different surgical methods, the patients were divided into SIL-TEP group, SIL-TAPP group and traditional three-hole laparoscopic hernia repair group, with 30 cases in each group. The operative time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative length of hospital stay, 24h postoperative visual analog scale (VAS), postoperative complications and postoperative recurrence rate were compared among the three groups. Results There were no significant differences in intraoperative bleeding, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative recurrence rate and postoperative complications among the three groups (ALL P > 0.05). The operative time of the SIL-TAPP group was longer than that of the SIL-TEP group and the traditional three-hole laparoscopic hernia repair group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). The postoperative pain score of the traditional three-hole laparoscopic hernia repair group was significantly higher than that of the SIL-TAPP group and the SIL-TEP group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between the SIL-TAPP group and the SIL-TEP group (P > 0.05). Conclusion SIL-TEP and SIL-TAPP have the same efficacy as traditional three-hole laparoscopic hernia repair for inguinal hernia in adults, both safe and effective, and have certain feasibility. Among them, SIL-TEP and SIL-TAPP have less postoperative pain, but longer operation time.
