Application effect of flexible cystoscope in removing male ureteral stent
Observe the application effect of flexible cystoscope in removing male ureteral stent. Methods From January to December 2019, 80 male patients with indwelling ureteral stents admitted to our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, 40 cases in each group. In the control group, the ureteral stent was removed by cystoscopy, and the experimental group was removed by flexible cystoscope. The pain conditions during and 30 minutes after the operation, as well as the occult blood in urine before the operation and on the first day after the ureteral stent was removed were compared between the two groups. Results The mild pain rate (70.0%, 95.0%) in the experimental group during operation and 30 minutes after the operation was higher than that in the control group (50.0%, 65.0%), and the positive rate of urine routine occult blood was 30.0% lower than 60.0% in the control group. All were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Flexible cystoscopy is safe, minimally invasive, convenient and flexible, and has the advantages of painful menstruation, less bleeding and quick recovery for male patients.
