Clinical observation of endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of chronic rhinitis and sinusitis

14-06-2022

72 patients with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis were divided into control group and experimental group according to different surgical methods, 36 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with traditional lateral rhinotomy, while the patients in the experimental group were treated with endoscopic surgery. Comparison of inflammatory indexes [interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), neutrophil elastase (NE)] before and after surgery (before and 24 hours after surgery) in the two groups of patients levels and therapeutic effects. Results Twenty-four hours after operation, the levels of NE, TNF-α and IL-6 in the two groups were increased compared with those before the operation, but the levels of NE, TNF-α and TNF-α in the experimental group were (9.26±0.17) ng/ml (7.46±0.22). pg/ml, IL-6 (8.24±0.24) pg/ml were lower than the control group (12.55±0.19) ng/ml, (10.46±0.25) pg/ml, (11.34±0.26) pg/ml, the difference was statistically significant Academic significance (P<0.05). The total effective rate of patients in the experimental group was 97.22%, which was higher than 77.78% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Nasal endoscopic surgery can be the first choice for patients with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis, and has a high clinical value.
