05-05-2022

From May 2017 to May 2019, 70 elderly patients with gallstones who were admitted to the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of Luoping County People's Hospital of Yunnan Province were divided into a study group and a control group according to different surgical plans, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional surgery, while the study group was given laparoscopic surgery. The operation time, gastrointestinal function recovery time, anal exhaust time, surgical blood loss, incision length, complications and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time, gastrointestinal function recovery time and anal exhaust time in the study group were all shorter than those in the control group, the amount of operative blood loss and incision length were shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.01); the incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 5.7% (2/35), lower than 22.9% (8/35) of the control group (χ~2=4.200, P=0.040); the treatment satisfaction of the study group was 97.1%, higher than 74.3% of the control group (χ~2=4.200, P=0.040). ~2=7.467, P=0.006). Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery for gallstones in elderly patients has the advantages of short operation time, small injury, less blood loss, high surgical safety, and low risk of complications, which can improve the satisfaction of patients.
